Keeping it plain and simple, marketing is telling people about what you sell. I’m sure you would agree if I was to say that in order to get money from someone, they need to know about us. When is the last time you bought something from a store you have never heard about? Never! It is physically impossible to do that. That is why marketing is so important. If no one knows about you, they will not buy from you! It is just that simple.

What Happens if I Don’t Market My Business?

Honestly, nothing. Let me explain. If you do not market your business, it will stay the same. It will not grow. You will not make more money. The customers you could have had will go to someone else. Owning a business will not be fun (sad face). Unless you are into that sort of thing, you need to do some type of marketing in order to avoid it.

Is All Marketing the Same?

While you are more than welcome to knock on every door in your neighborhood trying to get them to buy, you may find that it takes a crazy long time without making much money. There are different ways to use different methods based on what works for your customer. My honest advice is to find a marketer who is good at what they do and learn from them or get them to help you out. Fair warning, doing this may lead to making more money and having an easier life. Do not continue unless that is something you are willing to risk (smiley face).
